Outdoor Adventure Center to partially reopen Tuesday

The Outdoor Adventure Center will soon be back and boulder than ever.

The center, located on West Campus, is slated to reopen Tuesday, offering students renewed access to auto-belay climbing and bouldering Monday through Saturday from 4-8 p.m, while top rope and lead climbing will remain unavailable. The facility initially closed after several staff members departed in late May, leaving the center without the climbing professionals necessary for a safe experience.

Interfraternity Council joins partnership for men’s mental health awareness

Ohio State’s Interfraternity Council is spreading awareness on men’s mental health through its partnership with MANUAL, an online mental health service.

During the pilot program, all 1,700 members of the council were granted free, on-demand access to MANUAL’s services, including live chats and videos that that cover a wide variety of issues young men face.

Buckeye Link updates provide ease navigating website 

As students schedule for the spring semester, they’re greeted by a new Buckeye Link page.

The upgrade includes a personalized dashboard with quick links to My Buckeye Link, university spokesperson Chris Booker said. When making the transition from on to off-campus home life, it is crucial students understand their rights as renters.

There are several resources offered at Ohio State to aid in this, including Ohio State’s Student Legal Services, Off-Campus Housing Network and the Undergraduate Student Government’s renters guide. Columbus selected among routes in Ohio planned for Amtrak expansion

The Federal Railroad Administration selected four routes across Ohio as priorities for expansion Dec. 5, bringing Ohioans one step closer to having the “Three C’s” — Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland — connected by rail.

On Dec 6. the Center for Belonging and Social Change hosted its Study Buddy crochet event in the Ohio Union to bring students together for a relaxing evening before finals.

The gathering was part of a wellness event series dedicated to helping students practice and explore various kinds of self-care.
